Laymen's Terms as of Monday, Jan 5th, 2009

Bobby was taken to the Emergency Room at Anne Arundel Hospital on the morning of January 5, 2009. The MRI revealed a brain tumor. The hospital is running several tests Monday - Wednesday to rule out other potential issues and on Thursday, January 8, 2009, Bobby will be operated on. The doctors are only performing a biopsy on Thursday. It will be a surgerical procedure rather than a needle biopsy since there is fluid in the mass. This process as I understand it will provide a better view of what's going on than a needle biopsy and the surgeon will be better prepare for the unexpected (i.e., fluid) with a more invasive procedure.

Would you please keep him in your prayers that the mass is not cancer and they are able to either operate or treat. Thank you for your prayer support!

Thanks to all for your prayers, visits and phonecalls it really means the world to us. We received the CT scan and have confirmed that Bobby's body is clear of all other foreign tumors. This is GREAT news! We are now waiting for the neurosurgeon to come back and further explain the plan for Thursday.
Please keep up the prayers and thanks for everything!

    Much love,

  5. This is the beautiful prayer that Anni sent out yesterday to their church, The Bridge, on Kent Island. I thought you might like to read it. This is what we're praying for you Snow's:

Father, thank You for loving us and providing strength especially in times when we are hit so hard; times when the unexpected takes our breath away. Lord, You are All-Powerful and full of grace and mercy. We ask that You be with Bobby and his family now who needs Your strength. We pray that as they await test results, they remain confident that You know them and have a plan for their lives. Lord, we pray that this tumor is nothing serious and that You protect his body. Lord, allow the doctors to read the tests accurately and to have good results to share. We ask that You use this time to draw this family closer together, appreciating what they have in each other, but also drawing them ever so close to You, cherishing their relationship with You and Your Son. We know that You work all things in conformity with the purpose of Your will and we ask that Your will be done.

Joshua 1:9, "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."

  7. I just cleared off the kitchen table and ran the mellon baller through the dishwasher, so I'm ready for you Bobby, if you decide to have this done as an outpatient procedure...I'm pretty handy...:)

I am praying that the ONLY invasion in your body will be the invasion of the Holy Spirit!

  9. Father, thank You for Your direction as we face situations where we don't know which step to take. Lord, quiet Bobby's heart and mind to hear only you. We pray that he find comfort in Your plan and that he receive joy from you tender mercy. We pray that each step he and the medical staff take goes smoothly and swiftly. We pray that You be glorified in all circumstances. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Hebrews 4;16 ~ Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

  12. Bobby and Elaine-

You guys always give me a hard time about not taking vacations and look what happens when we do! Please know that you are in my prayers, that I know that our loving God is protecting and healing you as I write this posting. While the place where we are right now is known as the place "where dreams comes true", I am confident that Bobby is in the place where miracles come true! I wish I could be there with you but know that I love you and that I will continue to pray. Marge

  13. Dear Tim and Lara, (and now I am including you, Bobby and Elaine)
This was from my quiet time on Christmas Eve morning, as I was reading the Psalms for the day.

    Psalm 84:5-7

    Verse 5 New King James
“Blessed is the man whose strength is in You, whose heart is set on pilgrimage.”

    Verse 5 The Message
“And how blessed all these in whom You live, whose lives become roads you travel.”

Oh Lord, I want my life to be an open highway with access roads to You. At any given point on my journey, You can say to me, “This is the way, walk in it…..” Isa 30:21
My heart is set on walking in Your way, no matter what the journey brings.

    Proverbs 4:18
“But the path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day.”

    Verse 6 New King James
“As they pass through the valley of Baca (weeping) they make it a spring; the rain also covers it with pools (blessings).

    Verse 6 The Message
“They wind through lonesome valleys, come upon brooks, discover cool springs and pools brimming with rain!”

Jesus, as Lara and Tim and Bobby and Elaine go through this valley of weeping, show them the unexpected joys of beautiful streams, and cleansing rain. The beautiful streams of dear friends, precious family and incredible promises from Your word. And Your cleansing touch of healing and relief. May they experience the warm rain that touches the depths of the soul.

    Verse 7 New King James
“They go from strength to strength. Everyone of them appears before God in Zion.”

    Verse 7 The Message
“God traveled, these roads curve up the mountain, and at the last turn – Zion! God in full view!”

Please Father, let Tim and Lara and Bobby and Elaine, go from their strength in You, to Your strength in them. May they know at every turn that you have gone before them and prepared the way and You are their rear guard. Isa 52:12. And THEN – there You are in full view! In all Your glory, and the road turns golden and the journey was worth every lonesome valley. Help them to keep their focus on the victory. Amen!

    Love,
    George and Carol Anderson
